New SUP recently finished from KF factory.
It's the new prototype made in full sandwich and laminated 70% in Kevlar and 30% biaxial carbon.
Double sandwich in the footpad.
It has a custom handle made in carbon and it has very good gripping and it's easily lifted with one arm.
It has two plugs for leashes and 2 FCS plugs in order to use go-pro cam.
It's 6,1 kg raw and 6,8 kg with pad.

Last week we had a good session in the north shore of the island.
I used my biggest board, 219x59 90l and the ICON 5.0.
We were only four friends on the water, one of them ended up inside the pool next to the shore break which water the pool when the tide is high.

Here some pics of the glossing for the carbon textreme in the bottom.
The rest will be painted and polished in any jazzy color in order save some weight.
It's a pretty big board so it must be light, very important point in such a board like this.
I want it to feel it like a small wave board and not like a sailing boat.

What's going on KF?

I'm recently working on  five boards to complete my 6 set for this season.
The point is I decided to have 2 sets of different shapes, I mean, one will be the regular shapes I've been doing till now and other set of the shapes I'm developing this year which I love and I bet will be very successful in a short.
This boards are really compact wide and short, shaped on a flat rockerline and very wide tail which gives you lot of acceleration and planing but otherwise it has the back footstrap really backward giving a good ability to turn quite short.
Some of these ideas are extrapolated to the regular shapes as we have changed the position of footstraps further back and fins as well.

I'm working recently with this kind of carbon which takes less resin and promise to be more resistant, so the boards will be more reinforced and lighter than before. Opposite to other brands the price won't be affected. Day by day we find out new materials and we add them to the production in order to offer the best boards we are able to make.

It's saturday morning and there is no wind, but sunny, warm water and knee high waves.
No one on the break and a friend close to you for sharing the moment,
what else?

New Stickers

Finally here I have new fancy stickers for my sails.
It took me long time to get exactly what I wanted although it was worth.
I did some more for the new prototypes.
It's a kind of silver flakes, very common on stickers for children.
Well, we grow up and the toys are more expensive, but remains the same.
